“All good things are wild and free”
— Henry David Thoreau

Sydney-based artist Rachel Jayne Mackay explores Thoreau’s poetry and philosophy of wilderness through a playful expression of nature and the feminine form.

Father of modern day environmentalism, Henry David Thoreau, was an early advocate of recreational hiking and canoeing, of conserving natural resources on private land, and of preserving wilderness as public land.

This print is seasonal and limited to the amount of off-cuts in the Fresh Prince workshop. Each work is hand printed onto a plywood off-cut; because of this human-centric process each artwork is slightly different.

The proceeds from this artwork allows Reforest Now to plant and nurture an Australian Rainforest tree, as part of their mission to reforest Australia’s East Coast Rainforests. If tree planting is something you believe in, you can opt to plant up to 10 trees.
